south florida luxury guide presented “battle of the chefs”, where miami restaurant chefs battled it out to see whose cuisine reigned supreme. on thursday, nov. 2nd, the attendees experienced new culinary flavors, and became the designated judges for the event held at the design house in doral.
upon arrival, guests received a voter’s ballot with 90 minutes to visit each station and try a different item from each chef. later in the night, the attendees decided on their favorite chef by casting a vote and submitting their ballots.
our very own bulla gastrobar chef ryan competed at the event, and created hundreds of the hit spanish classic, montaditos de higo y jamón. the featured tapa is made with roasted figs, jamón serrano, toasted walnuts, and truffle honey. the event helped raise $4,000 for the boys & girls clubs of miami-dade. we’d like to congratulate pisco y vazca’s chef miguel gomez for winning first place!
